Steam-bent Rings - 1/4 inch white oak - unfinished
These rings, or hoops, are created using a steam box and differently sized clamping/cooling forms. They are 1/4 inch thick white oak slats, 1.5 inches wide, and come in 4 sizes; 8, 10, 12, and 14 inches (inside dimensions, add 1/2 inch for outside measurement). Each hoop is glued and doweled for strength, and sanded. These are sold as parts for projects, and therefore left unfinished. They have been/can be used for wall hanging projects, stretched hide drums, sewing projects, sculptural lighting projects, etc, etc.
